The Cedar Butchery:
My goal for this butchery was to create a brand and atmosphere that embodied and showcased the lively nature of downtown Athens, GA, and its history. Here is a slide deck and website that further showcases the history and application of this branding.
This project was heavily focused on work in Adobe Illustrator, Figma, and Photoshop.
The Cedar Butchery was created with the time period that the downtown scene skyrocketed in mind, with its location that I decided on being beside the Georgia Theatre. Cedar has a sophisticated feel with a flare of funk that matches downtown’s Art Deco and Art Nouveau revival origins. The name derives from the name of the settlement that Athens originated from, Cedar Shoals.
